Brutalist urban architecture in Hong Kong

Think a city cannot surprise you? I thought so, until I found Michael Wolf’s work. Here are some of his pretty ugly – or pretty in their ugliness, depending on your viewpoint – photos of HK urban highrise blocks of flats. This is how I imagined sociology to be, when I first read my first sociology book back in 2002: Peter Berger’s “Invitation to sociology” (I found a pdf of first chapter here – beware, it might hook you up on sociology).
